The Arizona Psychological Association (AzPA) awards student and early career psychologist scholarships to cover the cost of registration to its annual convention as part of the organization’s continuing efforts to support the personal and professional development of students and to reward excellence in scholarship and dedication to the field of psychology. Awards are not guaranteed. Applications are evaluated and awarded based on AzPA membership and scholarship sponsor availability. Student Scholarships

Terms of the Award:

1. Applications are accepted only from regularly admitted students currently enrolled in a psychology related program. Post-docs should apply for the ECP Scholarship.

2. Recipients must be student members of AzPA.

3. Recipients of the scholarship must attend both days of the convention.

4. Recipients are expected to attend the convention luncheon, presentation of awards/reception, and the student poster session.

5. The Student Scholarship consists of payment of the student’s full registration fees for the 2024 AzPA convention. The scholarship covers the cost of all scheduled activities and convention luncheons.

6. AzPA’s scholarship program is generated by community organizations and psychologists who want to provide educational opportunities for students by donating funds to make convention attendance possible for many of our student members.

Application Deadline:

Applications must be received online no later than 5:00 PM on Friday, July 19, 2024. Scholarship recipients will be notified of their award by August 7, 2024.

Early Career Psychologist Scholarships

Terms of the Award:

1. Applications are accepted only from early career psychologists that have made the transition from graduate study to professional life and have been in practice for 10 years or less.

2. Recipients must be members of AzPA.

3. Recipients of the scholarship must attend both days of the convention including the convention luncheon, the presentation of awards/reception and the student poster session.

4. The ECP Scholarship consists of payment of the member’s full registration fees for the 2024 AzPA convention. The scholarship covers the cost of all scheduled activities and convention luncheons.

5. AzPA scholarships are funded by community organizations and psychologists who want to provide educational opportunities for psychologists by donating funds to make convention attendance possible. In recognition of their generosity, we ask all scholarship recipients be available for a memorable group photo with the sponsors on Saturday, October 9th at the networking lunch.

Applications must be received online no later than 5:00 PM on Friday, July 19, 2024. Scholarship recipients will be notified of their award by August 7, 2024.
