Profession Title: Psychologist


Dr. Rohde works with youth and families, addressing learning and behavioral concerns including ADHD, child/teen behavioral problems, Asperger's disorder, depression, anxiety, adjustment to divorce, substance abuse and addiction.

Office Policies: 
The office is open until 6:20 p.m. on Monday and Wednesday, and until 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday and Thursday. We ask that clients who need to cancel an appointment provide us with 24 hours notice. We expect payment at the time of service unless a credit card is on file with our business office.
Insurance Information:
We are participating providers for BC/BS for Mayo Clinic and Hospital Employees Only.  We are out-of-network with most  insurance plans so you'll need to check your benefit package before scheduling an appointment if you want to use your health insurance.

  • additional training includes studies at NAU, and University of Oxford.  Three years of training were spent at the Post-Graduate Institute for Family Therapy.
Continuing Education: 

Continuing education requirements are maintained by attending workshops and conferences on a regular basis. A good deal of continuing education each year is devoted to enhancing skills with addictive disorders, medical issues related to psychology, motivational interviewing, EMDR, and family therapy.


Group Psychotherapy: 
  Five counseling groups are currently available to elementary-age children, middle schoolers, two different peer groups for teens in high school, and one group for young adults. One of the high school groups is devoted to substance abuse recovery, and the other deals with general behavioral health concerns.  Each of the counseling groups meet for 60-70 minutes every other week and focus on 1) the issues the clients are currently facing, 2) strategies for dealing with the developmental needs of the specific age group, and 3) communication, social skills, problem solving, self-esteem building, and enhancing self-regulation.

Other Information:

Dr. Rohde is an owner and clinical supervisor for the Adolescent Substance Abuse Program (, an intensive outpatient program for teens with addictive difficulties.  He has twice been recognized for "Distinguished Contributions to the Practice of Psychology" by the Arizona Psychological Association and has Diplomate status with the American Board of Assessment Psychology.  Dr. Rohde is one of the founders and a current board member of the nonprofit notMYkid, an organization devoted to prevention of behavioral health challenges in children and teens.  He currently serves as a Commissioner on a board within the Governor's Office for Youth, Faith, and Family.  He is a past president of the Arizona Psychological Association.
