Full
    

Full Members shall:

  • Hold a current license as a psychologist from the Arizona Board of Psychologist Examiners, and/or
  • Be a member or fellow of the American Psychological Association, and/or
  • Hold a doctoral degree in psychology from a regionally accredited institution.
Full Member-First Year
    
Sustaining
    

Sustaining Members shall:

  • Be members of AzPA, with all rights, privileges and responsibilities of Full membership status and
  • Shall have voluntarily elected to pay dues at a higher rate in return for recognition of this status.
Academic
    

Academic Members shall:

  • Meet requirements necessary as a full member and
  • Be employed as a full time faculty member at an accredited college or university.
Postdoc
    

Post-Doctoral Members shall:

  • Have completed a doctoral degree in psychology or a related field that qualifies for lecensure as a psychologist; and
  • Be actively pursuing Arizona state requirements for licensure as a psychologist.
Student
    

Student Affiliates shall:

  • Be students in psychology at an accredited university and
  • Be actively pursuing an advanced degree in psychology.
Out of State
    

Out of State Members shall:

  • Meet requirements necessary as a Full Member, and
  • Reside outside the State of Arizona.
Retired
    

Retired Members shall:

  • Have previously met all requirements of Full or Out of State Members;
  • If no longer licensed or an APA Member, have voluntarily relinquished such licensure or membership while in good standing
  • Have reached the age of 65; and
  • Have applied for status as Retired Member.
Life
    

Life Members shall:

  • Be members of the Association who have reached the age of 65 and who have retired from professional service, and
  • Have been members of the association for at least 20 years, and
  • Have submitted a written request to the Governing Council of the Association to have their membership status changed to Life Member.
  • Shall be exempt from dues to reflect the Association's appreciation for their contributions to AzPA over their years of membership but shall be encouraged to make a voluntary contribution.
