The Arizona Psychology Training Consortium (AZPTC) is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit subsidiary corporation of the Arizona Psychological Association (AzPA). The AZPTC was created by the Arizona Psychological Association to develop predoctoral internship and postdoctoral residency training opportunities in the state. Being a consortium, our faculty is drawn from the psychological community in the state of Arizona, thus, utilizing the resources of academic departments, community agencies, and independent practitioners in providing organized and sequential training for interns and residents. Our training sites reflect the breadth of client populations and intervention modalities available in the State of Arizona. We take pride in providing intensive training in culturally responsive clinical practice.

The AZPTC is member of the Association of Psychology Postdoctoral and Internship Centers (APPIC). The predoctoral internship program and the postdoctoral residency program are both APPIC-member training programs. Therefore, The Consortium participates in the National Matching Service.  A primary goal of AZPTC is to assist trainees in becoming licensed psychologists, therefore it is important to ascertain whether an APPIC-member internship or residency program meets the requirements for licensure in your state.
