Specialty(s):   Dr. Nicholls is a Clinical Psychologist with over 35 years of experience working with children and adults.  He is currently in private practice in Scottsdale, Arizona, where he focuses upon the evaluation and treatment of individuals with inherited and acquired learning disabilities, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorders, autism spectrum disorders, intellectual/developmental giftedness and disabilities, and other acute and chronic neurological conditions (e.g. concussion, traumatic brain injury).  Dr. Nicholls also works with adjustment disorders, anxiety and depression, and the challenges of liviing with chronic illness and disability across the lifespan.  Dr. Nicholls provides both private services as well as forensic evaluations, second opinion evaluations for school districts and other organizations, and consults with other professionals in medicine, law, and education. Other Information:  Dr. Nicholls has served on the clinical faculties of several majory university and hospital training programs in psychology, pediatrics, surgery and other health specialties.  He is a member of the Arizona State University's Sports Medicine Advisory Team.  He has served as the President of the Arizona Psychological Association, the Arizona Neuropsychology Society, the Brain Injury Association of Arizona, and the American Lung Association of Arizona. He was elected to be the Arizona delegate to the American Psychological Association's Council of Representative during the years from 2016-2019.  He was awarded the 2005 Distinguished Service Award by AZPA, and The Arizona Psychological Association Aaron H. Carter Award for Distinguished Contributions to Professional Psychology in 2013.
